Tangles

I started giving voice to my artistic side because I used to doodle a lot… really A LOT! Everywhere and All The Time!

Doodles in every corner of my notebooks… that was me: doodles everywhere…

My mom called them arabescos… and so the name for my blog.

After I began, then I’ve expanded into painting (with my intuitive painting classes) and now with watercolors… but then in this process of learning and developing my skills, I felt a bit lost in “what is my signature”?

Doodles!

My line drawings and my arabescos and arabesques… my tangles!

And so now I am re-discovering my passion for tangles (zentangles) and doodles! So much so, that like with anything I start, I obsess over and get me loads of materials! 😳🙄🤩

So I got me a few more special zen tangle papers and am back again into doodling around (but now in more proper places 😋)

Finding my signature… my artistic voice 😊

Follow me in this journey 😉 (and don’t forget to check my Instagram page and leave some love 💕)

Hello Lovelies!

It has been a long time and I have been missing blogging for while. I think it is a good time to go back to write about my experiences with drawing and painting.

Lately, well, in the past three days, I have also started to write a bit. I am not a very good writer, neither very committed, but I do like to write (I do journaling, a LOT) and I have too much imagination running wild inside my head, so I decided to let them fly to the paper (or screen 😉 ). So, if, like today, I have a prompt related to some drawing/sketching/painting theme, I will be sharing them together.

In the case of this post, my sketches were inspired by my writing prompt” Peach!

Hope you all enjoy it!

Keep Inspired!

Peach

She had a prompt, her first, and she was thinking about it for the past two days. A five minutes writing prompt and nothing about it would pop up in her mind. Completely blank!

Well, not completely true. She was exaggerating. The first thing she thought about was its colors. That gorgeous shade of… PEACH. Gorgeous! She wanted to paint it, draw it and get lost in the colors. But she wasn’t sure of the shape. She made a mental note to google it later and use it and the colors in some painting exercises.

“Peach. I don’t even like peach!” she though. Another lie. In fact she didn’t remember how did it taste. “Sweet? Wet? I really don’t know…” she wasn’t sure if she remembered the taste of the fresh fruit or the taste of the compote.

Now all she can think about is that she must, she NEEDS to try peaches in all its glorious colors.

Work still on progress…

The plan is one per day…
I am working on it 😉
In the end of the month, each month, I will share the result here!

Two weeks ago (I think by now is three weeks ago) we went to a holiday on the beach side, where I spent most of my time picking shells with my kid and drawing.

So relaxing!

My pallet & “a walk in the forest”

Last week I went to a paint workshop at Atelier Molenpad.
It was GREAT!
The atmosphere, the people, Daniella, the teacher, amazing!

Intuitive painting was just what I need to ignite my painting/drawing/experimenting process again!
Go with the flow of the moment, what do you feel, not judge and have FUN and learn new techniques in the process! 😉

Next week I start a 3 months course there! (Thanks to my hubby and sister)
I can’t wait for it. To paint every week, to keep Inspired! 🙂

Since the workshop I’ve been drawing more and experimenting with all kinds of materials.
I promise updates!

To all my lovelies a great weekend!
